The Big Bang is coming to Sutton!

Sutton is getting ready to make a BIG BANG this July.

A week-long festival of science is coming to the town centre with events and interactive activities for all ages.

Launching on Monday, July 9, highlights include a Science Speakeasy, mixology classes, a Women in Science gallery and the Big Bang Fair at Sutton Grammar School on Friday, July 13, featuring exhibitions, workshops and hands-on tasks.

The fair is part of a UK-wide celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) learning, aimed at inspiring the next generation to follow a career in science and engineering.

The festival rounds off with a free Family Day and Science Trail on Saturday, July 14, when the Big Bang takes over the High Street and Manor Park with some out of this world attractions.

Take a walk through the solar system, get up close to a giant animatronic T-Rex, follow an augmented reality science trail for a chance to win some amazing prizes, test your skill in the zorbing arena and meet TV presenter Johnny Ball as Sutton goes wild for science.
